Hydraulic (1D & 2D) and Hydrologic Modeling

Sungate performs hydrologic and hydraulic analyses across the state for NCDOT and local governments. Our experience includes 1D and 2D modeling of streams, culverts, and bridges using industry‑standard methods and software. Sungate’s professional engineers have extensive experience with HEC-2 and HEC-RAS backwater modeling software, as well as HEC-HMS and HydroCAD hydrologic modeling software. Sungate regularly assists clients with basin studies to determine existing and potential causes of flooding and provide analysis and recommendations for mitigation measures to reduce flood potential.
