PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE As Hydrographic Engineer for NC Department of Transportation, Mr. Hines designed bridges, culverts, storm drainage and other drainage facilities on NC and Federal Highway projects. Mr. Hines has managed numerous projects involving FEMA Flood Hazard areas and has worked with FEMA, the US Army Corps of Engineers, TVA, and local governments in delineation and re-delineation of these areas. He worked since 1996 as a private consultant to the NC Department of Transportation Hydraulics Unit on numerous projects. He has also served as Hydraulic sub-consultant on roadway projects.

Bridge Design on NCDOT projects: NC 81 in Buncombe County, US 221 in Wilkes County near Boone, two bridges on NC 210 in Pender County, NC 49 over Lake Wylie in Mecklenburg County, dual bridges and overflow bridges over the NE Cape Fear River on NC 24 in Duplin County, NC 261 in Mitchell County, bridge over High Rock Lake in Davidson County.
