Mr. Henry Wells, PE, PLS, CPESC (Principal) has over 30 years of experience with hydraulic engineering-related projects. He is a former employee of the NCDOT Hydraulics Unit and has been with firms awarded the NCDOT Open End Hydraulics Contract since it was first offered in the early 1990's. He has also acted as a hydraulics consultant on numerous roadway projects over the past several years, including several large design-build projects. Mr. Wells has extensive experience working with FEMA and has completed more than 100 floodway modifications for a variety of clients. He continues to assume "hands on" responsibility for project work related to hydraulic engineering.
Mr. Charles Musser, RLA (Principal) has worked as a Hydraulics and Environmental consultant on roadway and planning projects over the past three decades. He has over 30 years of experience in landscape architecture and hydraulic design. Mr. Musser is a member of the ASTM E50 Environmental Assessment Committee and a former member of the Technical Advisory Committee for the N.C. Sedimentation Control Commission. He is certified as both a Level I and Level II NCDOT Erosion and Sediment Control/Stormwater Site Manager and Inspector and is certified as a Level III-A and III-B Designer of Erosion and Sediment Control Plans. He has extensive experience in wetland delineation and permitting. His experience also includes the field data gathering, design, permitting and construction management for storm water quality measures, constructed wetlands and projects using natural channel design concepts. He has recently completed the design, permitting and construction management of Yates Mill County Park and the American Tobacco Trail for Wake County.
Mr. Will Hines, PE worked with the NCDOT Hydraulics Unit for six years prior to joining Sungate in 1996. He spent his last three years with NCDOT reviewing other consultants' Hydraulic Analyses and Drainage Plans. He has designed a multitude of projects under the NCDOT's Open End Hydraulics Contract. Mr. Hines also performs development review, consultation and inspection for the Town of Carrboro. This task involves reviewing private and pubic developmental plans with adherence to town ordinances, especially as it pertains to water quantity and quality, while ensuring generally accepted engineering practices. Mr. Hines is well versed in the operation of hydrologic and hydraulic models such as HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-HMS, HYDROCAD and HEC-RAS. He recently completed two urban basin studies for the Town of Holly Springs and a Floodway Modification (CLOMR application) for the City of Raleigh.
Mr. Josh Dalton, PE, CPESC is a graduate of N.C. State University with twelve years of experience, originating at Sungate in 1996. His experience includes the hydraulic design of numerous NCDOT projects. Mr. Dalton has completed the design and permitting for storm water quantity and quality measures, erosion control and natural channel restoration projects. He has recently completed the hydraulic design and erosion and sediment control design for R-2616 Design/Build Project (US 601 widening), the hydraulic design of I-540 from south of US-64 to north of Alston Avenue (R-2635C), and the Washington Bypass Design Build project (R-2510B). Mr. Dalton also has extensive experience preparing environmental permits. He is also certified as a Level III-A and III-B NCDOT Designer of Erosion and Sediment Control Plans.
Mr. Bill Hamilton, RLA is a Landscape Architect with extensive experience in site analysis, site planning, landscape design, bioengineering storm water quality measures, and sustainable site design. He joined Sungate in 1993 and has recently completed design and construction management of North Regional Library, Yates Mill County Park and the American Tobacco Trail for Wake County.
Mr. Jason Harvey has been Sungate Design Group’s CAD technician/manager since April 2001. He has extensive experience with Microstation, GEOPAK, AutoCad and ArcView. His construction plan production includes Yates Mill County Park, American Tobacco Trail, UT to Bear Creek Stream Restoration, and numerous NCDOT bridge and roadway projects. Mr. Harvey serves as the CAD Manager.
Mr. Brian Elam, EIT has been with Sungate for three years part time and has recently been hired full time after graduating from NC State University. During his time with Sungate, Brian has gained experience in surveying, HEC-RAS, Microstation, GEOPAK, and AutoCAD. Brian has also assisted with hydraulic design of drainage systems and culverts.
Ms. Karen Weathers has been the Amdinistrative Assistant with Sungate since 1997. Ms. Weathers handles invoices, payroll, and many other duties. |
