* Sungate Design Group has been selected as the site design subconsultant on the project team responsible for the design of the Lake Mattamuskeet Lodge Renovations.
* The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commision headquarters in Raleigh has been awarded for green initiatives. News 14 has recently completed a series about this "green" building. * Sungate Design Group was the Landscape Architectural and Civil Engineering sub-consultant on the project team responsible for site design, permitting, and construction oversight at the Wake County North Reginal Library in Raleigh. The project has been awarded the 2007 Sir Walter Raleigh Community Appearance Award for the Institutional Category. This is the second year in a row that SDG has participated on the design team of a Sir Walter Raleigh Award winning project in this category. The 2006 Award went to the NC Wildlife Resources Commision Headquaters located on the NCSU Centennial Campus in Raleigh.
* Sungate Design Group was part of the Blythe Construction Design-Build team awarded the U-3412A Design Build project. The project consists of extending Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard on new location from Lancaster Avenue to Goldmine Road in Union County. The proposed 2-lane roadway will be approximately 3 miles in length.
* Sungate Design Group was part of the Blythe Construction Design-Build team awarded the R-2616 US 601 Design Build project. The project consists of widening 10.9 miles of an existing 2-lane roadway to a 4-lane divided facility.
