PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE As Hydrographic Engineer for NC Department of Transportation, Mr. Wells designed bridges, culverts, storm drainage and other drainage facilities on NC and Federal Highway projects. He supervised administration of the Sedimentation and Erosion Control and Flood Hazard Programs while Chief Engineer for Wake County. Mr. Wells has managed numerous projects involving FEMA Flood Hazard areas and has worked with FEMA, the US Army Corps of Engineers, TVA, and local governments in delineation and re-delineation of these areas. He has recently worked as a private consultant to the NC Department of Transportation Hydraulics Unit on numerous projects. He has also served as a Hydraulic subconsultant on numerous roadway projects.
