PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Mr. Fleming's professional experience includes extensive experience in hydrologic and hydraulic design. As design engineer for the North Carolina Department of Transportation, he was responsible for the hydrologic and hydraulic design of numerous rural, urban, and bridge projects. This included performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for the design of bridges, box and pipe culverts, storm drain systems, open channels, hazardous spill basins, and erosion control. Also, knowledge was gained in the preparation of environmental permits and the supervision of field personnel and surveys. As project engineer for NCDOT, he was responsible for guiding, reviewing, and evaluating the contracted drainage plans produced by private engineering firms for NCDOT. Secondary requirements included scoping, manday estimates, and salary negotiations for contracted drainage projects.
